First Baby Shower!

My mom threw me an amazing, beautiful baby shower on August 1st at Cafe Cordiale. It was for her side of the family plus some of my closest friends and hers. She really went all out... from the decor to the favors to the games... this was definitely a celebration to remember! I had so much fun, as did everyone, and we received some absolutely adorable gifts for our baby girl! Brian came just in time to help open them :) Here are some great pictures from the day! My wedding photographer Jennifer Carrillo came as a favor to me to take the photos, which she then sent to me and I edited them. She'll be at my next shower, too... what's a party without a photographer? ;)

last birthday before mommyhood!

I turned 27 last week... officially in my late twenties. I don't so much have a problem with the age, but more so in the fact that I don't feel 27! At most I feel like I'm.... 23? Sometimes when Brian and I are together I feel like we're 17 again... how can a decade have gone by so fast?! But, I'm incredibly happy where I am at this point in my life... married, a home owner, expecting our first baby... I couldn't ask for more. I have a wonderful family and am starting one of my own-- I am incredibly blessed.

I wasn't planning on celebrating much, but we ended up having lunch with the family on Sunday, dinner with friends Sunday night, going to the Dodger game on Monday (my actual birthday), and then had a birthday lunch the following day with my mom. Overall, it was a great last-birthday-before-baby!
